Peter Gibson alias Roadsworth is a Toronto native, who began painting the streets of Montreal in 2001. His art has initially focused on the exploitation of road signs and other landscape elements using stencils. Its mandate was primarily to challenge the omnipresence of the automobile by promoting bike lanes in the city. In 2008, Alan Kohl made the film about his work “Roadsworth: Crossing the line”. The film was notably screened during La Biennale de Montreal 2009.
