Fonki was born in France, from Cambodian refugees parents but lives in Montreal now. He discovered graffiti at the age of 15 and gradually grew into one of the city’s most prominent street artist amongst the newer generations. His artistic career takes a turn in 2012 when he features as the main character of the feature-length award-winning documentary “The Roots Remain”. In it, he travels to Cambodia and creates the very first Kbach style graffiti lettering. He has since been invited to speak at multiple conferences, TEDx talks and on television in France. Collectors around the world seek his canvases.
